Agreement to these terms

By accessing or using OneStarReport — whether as a visitor or a registered user — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

We may update these terms at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of OneStarReport after changes are posted means you accept the revised terms.

What OneStarReport is

OneStarReport is a community platform for sharing first-hand consumer experiences. It allows users to document and publish accounts of their interactions with businesses, locations, and services.

OneStarReport is a publishing platform — we do not verify, endorse, or take responsibility for the accuracy of individual user reports. Reports reflect the personal opinion of the author at the time of writing.

Your account

To submit reports or comments, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• Keeping your password secure and confidential
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By registering, you confirm you meet this requirement.

You may not create multiple accounts, impersonate another person, or register on behalf of a business with the intent of posting content about competitors.

Content rules

OneStarReport exists to give a voice to genuine consumer experiences. All content you post must follow these rules:

• Be truthful. Only report experiences you personally had. Fabricating or exaggerating events is prohibited.
• Be specific. Vague, content-free posts ("this place is bad") add no value and may be removed.
• No harassment. Do not target individuals, post personal details about staff, or use threatening language.
• No hate speech. Content that demeans people based on race, gender, religion, sexuality, disability, or national origin is not allowed.
• No spam or advertising. Do not use Plop to promote products, services, or websites.
• No illegal content. Do not post content that is defamatory, infringes copyright, or violates any applicable law.
• No coordinated activity. Do not organise groups to mass-report a business without genuine personal experience.

Intellectual property

You retain ownership of the content you post. By submitting a report, comment, or photo, you grant OneStarReport a worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, store, and distribute that content as part of the platform — including in search results, embeds, and archives.

The OneStarReport name, logo, and site design are our intellectual property. You may not reproduce or use them without our written permission.

If you believe content on Plop infringes your copyright, please contact us with details of the material in question and we will respond promptly.

Reporting and moderation

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms, at our sole discretion, without prior notice. This includes but is not limited to content that is:

• Clearly fabricated or submitted in bad faith
• Harassing a specific individual
• Spam, advertising, or off-topic
• Illegal under applicable law

Removal of a report is not an endorsement of the business reported. We may restore removed content if we determine it was taken down in error.

Repeated or serious violations may result in your account being suspended or permanently banned.

Disclaimer of warranties

OneStarReport is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The platform will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Any information on the platform is accurate, complete, or up to date
• The platform is free from viruses or other harmful components

You use OneStarReport at your own risk. We are not responsible for decisions you make based on content published on this platform.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OneStarReport and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — the platform.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of OneStarReport shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (which, as OneStarReport is currently free to use, would be zero).

Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in the operating jurisdiction of OneStarReport.

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
