Bait and Switch Hotel… Expensive, Deceptive, and Dirty

I don’t usually leave reviews, but this experience was bad enough that I feel obligated to warn others especially if you’re booking something important like a honeymoon. This was a complete bait and switch. I booked expecting to stay at what I thought was the main Hilton property, but when we arrived, we were sent to a side building that felt like it was barely a step above a roadside motel. It was honestly shocking compared to what was advertised. The room smelled strongly of cigarettes, which immediately set the tone. It felt unclean and poorly maintained, not at all what you expect from a place marketed this way.

And the “ocean view”? That’s a stretch. You can barely see the water, it’s misleading at best. Don’t book thinking you’re getting a beachfront experience. What really confirmed everything was that even the receptionist acknowledged the issue. They told us directly that this happens often and even suggested we dispute the charge. Clearly, this isn’t a one-off situation multiple people are being misled the same way.

We ended up canceling and scrambling to find another hotel during our honeymoon, which is something no one should have to deal with. Overall, extremely disappointing and deceptive. I would strongly recommend booking elsewhere unless you want to risk the same experience.
